Dr. Szebeni is an expert in the field of complement research. His work has resulted in significant advances in the field, the publication of many research papers and presentations at various scientific forums. He also coined the term Complement Activation Related Pseudoallergy (CARPA), and is editor of the book Complement: Novel Roles in Health and Disease. His work in the past has encompassed a range of topics including liposome based blood substitutes, HIV pharmacotherapy, and bone marrow transplantation. He has spent most of his professional career in the United States.

Peter Krajcsi, PhD

Dr. Krajcsi has extensive experience in biotechnology. In his academic career he has focused on three major topics (i) steroid receptors (ii) molecular biology of adenoviruses and (iii) apoptosis. For the past 8 years he has been working in R&D management positions for small and medium enterprises in drug research and gene therapy in Hungary as well as in the United States. Presently he is the Chief Scientific Officer of Solvo Biotechnology Ltd.

Dr. Rosivall’s expertise is in pathophysiology with a focus on nephrology. He is a former President (Rector) of the Semmelweis University, where he has had an extensive academic career, and currently heads the PhD program in medical sciences and serves as Deputy Director of the Dept. of Pathophysiology, and Head of the Nephrology Research Group. He is involved in a wide range of public activities, including executive positions in associations, and memberships on editorial boards. He is also founder and president of the Hungarian Kidney Foundation and founding member of European Kidney Research Association.

Dr. Szabó has been a clinical paediatrician and nephrologist at the Semmelweis University since 1978. He is a VDR research expert, and his work in this field has resulted in significant advances and publication of many research papers that were cited in more than 700 independent publications. He is one of the leading staff members of the Semmelweis University and has also been working as the R&D manager for a small pharmaceutical research company in Hungary.

Before joining SeroScience, Dr. Rozsnyay was Senior Scientist in the Biology group at Pfizer Global R&D laboratories in Fresnes, France. Prior to joining Pfizer, Dr. Rozsnyay gained substantial experience in academic research and corporate R&D domains in several fields applying a wide variety of technologies. He worked as Lab Head and Principal Scientist at the German Cancer Research Institute in Heidelberg, Germany; as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Vienna International Research Cooperation Centre of Sandoz, Inc., Vienna, Austria and at the L. Eotvos University, Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Rozsnyay has authored a number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals in the fields of immunology, cell biology and signal transduction.
